Privacy Policy

Reform FIFA is a campaign for supporter representation in the governance of football. We take the privacy of the people who support us seriously, and we collect as little personal data as we can.
1. Who we are
Reform FIFA is currently operated by Bryan Bogensberger as an individual, acting as the data controller for the purposes of applicable data protection law.

A not-for-profit entity is being incorporated to operate Reform FIFA. When it is registered, that entity will become the data controller and this policy will be updated with its details. Your personal data will transfer to it on the same terms set out here. If you would rather your data were deleted before that transfer, contact us and we will remove it.
2. What we collect
When you sign up, we ask for your email address and nothing else. No name, no country, no phone number.
Our hosting provider records basic technical information such as IP address and browser type, used only to keep the site running and secure.
If you email us, we hold that correspondence.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
3. Political opinions
Supporting a campaign for reform of a governing body may reveal a political opinion, which data protection law treats as a special category of personal data requiring additional protection.
Where that is the case, we process it on the basis of your explicit consent, given when you sign up. You can withdraw that consent at any time by unsubscribing or by contacting us, and we will delete your data as described in section 8.
We are conscious that some of our supporters live in countries where association with a campaign of this kind carries risk. We collect the minimum necessary, we never publish supporter lists, and we do not disclose supporter data to any football governing body, national association, sponsor, or commercial partner under any circumstances.

6. Who we share it with
We will never publish or publicly share any personal data you give us without your explicit consent.
We use third-party providers for website hosting and for sending email. They process data on our instructions only, under contract.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not share it with FIFA, any confederation, any national association, or any commercial partner of any of them.
We may disclose personal data where required by law, by a court, or by a competent authority.
7. International transfers
Some of our service providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards permitted under applicable law, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as you remain signed up. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we remove it, other than a minimal suppression record so that we do not contact you again by mistake.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
access the personal data we hold about you
have inaccurate data corrected
have your data deleted
restrict or object to processing
withdraw consent at any time
receive your data in a portable format
complain to a supervisory authority
Contact privacy@reformfifa.org to exercise any of these. We will respond within one month. In Portugal, the supervisory authority is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD); if you live elsewhere, you may complain to the authority in your own country.
10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data and the law requires it.
11. Children
Reform FIFA is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete the record.
12. Links to other sites
We link to reporting and source documents on other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. Any change will be posted here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we will tell subscribers by email.
